In December Vostek completed a project for Sydney Water. The original roof areas were a mixture of asbestos and fibreglass. The job demanded a conscientious approach to all scopes of work coupled with constant co-operation with asbestos removal contractors in order to manage the amount of risk Vostek personnel are subject to. All precautions were taken to ensure a safe working environment for all parties most notably a ten metre exclusion zone from asbestos removal and storage as well as air quality readers, protection masks, portable safety handrail all with supporting safe work method documentation, which all employee's must read and sign before commencement of work.
The work's completed involved supply and installing new roof safety mesh, insulation, soffit sheeting, metal and translucent sheets, flashing's and capping's to suit and drainage systems. Vostek installed ventilation systems across the new roof's as per the clients needs All under time constraints with air quality clearance for Vostek personnel to commence work a daily obstacle. There were several building's in total to be re-roofed, each posing different obstacles for completion. The project was completed before the new year with Sydney Water taking full occupancy in January.
